Otto von Habsburg, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian dynasty, passed away on July 4 at the age of ninety-eight. A tireless opponent of Communism, he penned a prescient article for The Intercollegiate Review in 1966. A quarter century before the Soviet Union disintegrated, Hapsburg forecast the fall of Communism in Eastern and Central Europe.
